Public Involvement

Public Involvement is an interactive process that provides information to the public so they may make informed decisions and offer important input into the solutions that address the community's concerns. A public involvement program has been designed to encourage your participation throughout the study. Opportunities for you to be informed and involved include the following:

Business, Civic, & Other Special Interest Group Meetings

Organized groups interested in learning more about the study can request to have a project team representative speak at civic or neighborhood meetings. If you would like the project team to address your organization, please contact: Mr. Steve Ernst at 815-964-RMAP (7627).

In addition, focus groups and public surveys of transportation needs are being performed as a part of this study.

Newsletters/Meeting Handouts

Newsletters will be printed over the course of the study. These publications will feature the latest project news and information. Past issues will be made available in the Information Center.

This site has been developed and will be maintained throughout the study to communicate current information. It includes general project information, description of the current activities and findings, mailing list and comment area, frequently asked questions with answers, meeting information and project publications and reports.
